Elijah House School for Prayer Ministry
Elijah House schools are founded on principles reflected in Malachi 4:5-6 and Matthew 17:11. We call God’s people to restore the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, and to restore all things.
How do our schools accomplish this? We train students in the biblical principles and tools for the healing and transformation of the inner man that God has given John and Paula Sandford and other Elijah House teachers. Students learn to trace bad fruit in people’s lives to unforgiveness, bitterness, negative life decisions and other strongholds in the heart. They learn to listen to the Holy Spirit and follow His lead as they minister. The ultimate goal is not only to transform individuals, but also to enable them to reconcile with others as well as with God. Training is offered on two levels, Basic I & Basic II, in either live or video school format. Each level consists of 24 teachings along with live demonstrations and small group practicum.

                Basic I
In this school, we teach basic principles useful in dealing with all issues students will encounter in prayer ministry. They learn to trace bad fruit to the strongholds formed in the heart (usually in childhood). And they learn the basic skills needed to deal with those strongholds in an inner healing session.

                Basic II
Basic II is for those who want to go a little deeper in their understanding of prayer ministry. Students learn how to apply the tools learned in Basic 1 to specific problems, such as sexual issues, shame, depression, anxiety, generational sins, etc. In order to take Basic 11, a student must have taken Basic 1.

Video schools are led by a facilitator who has graduated from either a live or video school and has been officially approved by Elijah House. The format is usually between three and six months, during which students meet periodically. A benefit is the slower pace and easier assimilation of the material. This format also offers opportunity to form lasting bonds with fellow students from one’s own local area.
